There are several exciting things happening at the MS/HS this month. High School basketball continues; as the month gets to a close, the HS basketball district tournament will be held at Carlisle County. Look for more information as time nears.
The Junior and Senior English classes will be skyping with Robin Roberts on Wednesday February 11. Ms. Roberts is a television broadcaster who is the anchor of ABC’s morning show Good Morning America. This opportunity was made possible by Mrs. Parr. We are all looking forward to this.
There will be no school Thursday and Friday February 12 and 13.
On Tuesday February 17, the MS Robotics team will be speaking to the Rotary Club demonstrating their knowledge about robotics. On February 19, the Mobile Dentist will be at the High School. This is a great service that is provided by the state of Kentucky.
As the month ends, all juniors will have prepared for the ACT which is March 3rd. If your child is a junior, please give them support and encouragement to do well.
We want every student who enters the doors at FISD to be proud to be part of the school community. We offer a wide variety of coursework and programs, so that each and every student can find his or her place. The expectation is high! We will work hard to teach each child how to create a positive learning environment – and we expect each student to work to help us create a great school. We expect every student to be kind to others, be respectful of their elders, follow basic rules, and to do their very best every day.
