Superintendents Message

I am excited to be the new superintendent of the Fulton Independent school district. We are a small district, but we are mighty! 

We are in the process of implementing a new vision for our district. We will become a district focused on individualized learning with an emphasis in STEM. Each of our students is using diagnostic testing to develop a plan that will insure they are on grade level, or above, especially in the areas of reading, math, and science. We believe that reading is the best indicator of success in life and is the foundation of a good education. After the results of the diagnostic tests are analyzed, we will develop a true individual learning plan (ILP) that will work for each student. 

Students are retested each quarter to see if the ILP is working. If not, we will change immediately. We will inject project-based learning into the classroom to support instruction. Learning will be fun again. 

Our goal is to create a regional STEM academy that supports students' dreams to go to college or to the workforce with a skill set that will help them be successful. 

We will not be distracted by the issues of the past. We will be transparent with our community and heal wounds. Our community will be proud of our schools. If you have a concern or would like to know more, please reach out to me.
