The Fulton Independent School District is applying for the FY25 Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Center (CCLC) Grant, which is part of Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) Title IV funding administered through the Kentucky Department of Education.
This five-year grant will fund the Bulldogs Beyond the Bell (B3) for elementary students, grades K-6, to provide math and literacy tutoring and STEAM-related enrichment activities to enhance reading and math academic proficiencies and broaden cultural, science, math, and technology awareness through a STEM lab, science, and cultural field trips, art projects, as well as family learning and engagement activities.
Parents, students, and faculty will be given surveys to complete and return for feedback on the development of the program. An outline of the grant will be available for community input and review on November 25, 2024, from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at the Fulton Independent Board of Education.
The grant is due on December 3, 2024, and partners with several partners in the community and region to provide services to elementary students enrolled in the Fulton Independent School system. Home school students who reside in the district will receive a letter from the school about the program.
