Get ready to show your Bulldog pride and join us in celebrating Homecoming all week long!
Be sure to check out the graphic below for our daily dress-up themes.
We can’t wait to see everyone showing their school spirit!

Every day, school counselors make a difference for students.
Through classroom lessons, group activities, and individual meetings, they help our students build skills for academics, relationships and life.
Thank you, Bulldog Counselors !!

A huge shout- out to our Instructional Supervisor, Mrs. Amber Kinney!
One more reminder that we will be in school tomorrow. However, many city streets are still covered in ice. Out of an abundance of caution, the following streets will be picked up in a board vehicle: Green Street, West Street, Park Street, Poplar Street, Arch Street, 7th and Beechwood, Sunset Avenue, and the 600 & 700 block of 2nd Street. Mr. Sullivan will be driving the expedition to pick up these students.
For those students being dropped off at Carr Elementary, because of the ice on Pearl Street, please drop all students off in front of the cafeteria.
See you tomorrow!! Go Bulldogs!
Buses will run normal routes, but if your street is still covered in ice, the driver will contact the board office and your student will be picked up in of the two white board vehicles. Buses will use extreme caution to make sure that everyone arrives safely, so please be patient.
If you have any questions about pickup, please call the board office tomorrow morning at 270-472-1553.

This is Mr. Sullivan with an important message, please listen all the way through.
We will be observing NTI Day #5 tomorrow, January 30th AND we will have lunch available for pickup at Carr Elementary for all students district wide.
Lunch will be Ms. Ashley's world famous chili dogs. It will be served from 11-1. There is a Google form on our Facebook page to fill out before you come. If you need a ride to the cafeteria, give the board office a call at 270-472-1553 tomorrow morning.

Also, parents please have all five days of NTI work completed and returned on Monday. I will personally make sure that students receive a grade for each days work.
Finally, I want you to know that I have been in both schools all week and they are not the same without you. YOU are what makes are schools great and I can't wait to see you guys back bright and early Monday morning.
Thank you and have a great long weekend!

Mr. Jimmie is the definition of dedication—hard-working, always there, and never complaining. Our schools run better because of him, and our kids are safer because he cares.
We truly wish every business had a Mr. Jimmie… but sorry, you can’t take ours!

Stay safe & warm Bulldogs !!

WOW, Fulton Independent Bulldog families… YOU showed UP! 💙
We had an amazing turn-out for our Family Reading Night, and it was filled with smiles, laughter, and so much FUN from start to finish!
Our students and families enjoyed a night full of cozy learning and memories, including:
🐾 Stuffing their very own Polar Pal
❄️ Making “snow” with a STEM activity
📖 Reading inside our “igloo tents” with their polar pals and/or family members
The BEST part? 💡
The purpose of this night was to help teach our students fun, meaningful ways to read at home—whether it’s reading with their families or independently to their stuffed animals. We want reading to feel exciting, comforting, and part of everyday life! 🥰📚
This event was made possible through the KyCL25 Comprehensive Literacy Grant, supporting Goal 4:
📌 “Schools will increase family engagement in the literacy development of their student(s) and awareness of resources to aid in supplemental literacy instruction at home.”
Thank you to every family who came out in your pajamas and made the night so special! We can’t wait to do it again!💙🐾📚

This past weekend, our Bulldog staff traveled to Nashville, TN to participate in Kagan Strategy Training!
Kagan Strategy Training helps teachers use classroom strategies that get all students actively involved in learning, not just the ones who raise their hands the most. Instead of students sitting quietly for long periods, Kagan strategies encourage students to talk, think, and work together in structured ways.
These strategies help students:
Stay engaged and focused
Build confidence in sharing their ideas
Learn from their classmates
Develop teamwork and communication skills
Teachers use short, well-organized activities where every student participates, so no one is left out or unnoticed. Each child is still responsible for their own learning, but they also benefit from collaborating with others.
Kagan strategies are used across all grade levels and subjects and support a wide range of learners, including students who may need extra support or who learn best by talking things through.
Overall, Kagan Strategy Training helps create classrooms where students are more involved, more confident, and more successful.
Those attending:
Terry Sullivan, Superintendent
Amanda LeClere, DPP
Amber Kinney, Supervisor of Instruction
Mary Giles, Educational Consultant
Christi Cavness, Teacher
Michele Stephens, Teacher
Destinee Walker
We’re proud of our staff for investing their time and energy into professional growth, all in support of our students’ success. Way to represent the Bulldog family! 💙
